Our 2024 Summer Production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

What a beautiful experience this was! Everyone's favorite crazy chocolatier and bratty kids. All those classic songs and some new ones, fetching and infectious. They ever-dreaming Charlie Bucket and his bedridden grandparents discovered that they, too, could get one of life's golden tickets.

We put this show on during a year of war because we wanted to give something to the kids. We want to remind them, and ourselves, that there is beauty in the world that we must embrace. And keeping our spirits up is a national need.

The original script of the show was much darker than the beloved movie. Our cast and crew found a way to embrace some of the great innovations of the Broadway version while honoring the masterpiece that was the original movie.

And with an exceptional crew, this was far more than a show. It was a labor of love for our dedicated theatrical community. As the cliché goes, "A good time was had by all." We took a sunrise, covered it in dew, sprinkled it with chocolate and a miracle or two.

And now, we have the memories.
