With seventeen enchanting historical stories and seventeen engaging musical works from the greatest of composers, that experience is an unusually fulfilling one.
As a sample, here is a presentation about Gershwin's magnum operatic opus, Porgy and Bess. While some have criticized the work as condescending to African Americans, in truth the work became a symbol of resistance to racism and evil in at least two unique settings.
